As individual children’s needs and interests vary, interactions and development programs are based on the individual with a view to enhance the physical, intellectual, emotional and social development of each child. Each child’s development takes place in age appropriate environments.

Diversity: At Huggy Bear we know learning should be fun and that success encourages further success. By using a range of different activities from play, singing, art, craft and dancing we use each child’s strengths as a platform for new activities. Our culture fosters positive attitudes to learning which allows for new activities and concepts to be conceived and developed.

Programming: Our Qualified Educators create programs suited to the current development stage of each child under their care. Programs are reviewed and updated weekly with a similar methodology used by each of the three age groups.

Huggy Bear’s Centre Directors offer a wealth of child care experience, skills and knowledge which is used with the regular review and development of programs with each of the Qualified Educators. Programs are displayed for families in their child’s room and we welcome and encourage parents input into the program.

Kindy: Children in the Kindy Room have a School Readiness program incorporated into their routine which aids in the development of literacy, language, problem solving, mathematical thinking and social interaction.

More: A variety of extra curricular activities are available to enhance children’s interests, learning and development: including excursions for the children in our Pre-Kindy and Kindy rooms and incursions for all children within the centre.

Owners Nathan and Cassandra are committed to Huggy Bear being the Early Learning Centre of choice for families within the community by working closely with the team of educators and carers and developing a relationship with families. Nathan and Cassandra continually monitor centre standards to uphold a flexible approach to child care for families and individual care for children.
